First introduced in 2009 Cadillac Converj based concept the ELR is now going to become a reality. The Cadillac ELR Electric Car will feature an electric drive unit powered by a T-shaped lithium-ion battery for a four-cylinder engine. The primacy energy source will be the electricity but Cadillac has left enough room for gas option. Cadillac ELR’s production will begin in late 2013 and company hopes to unveil it officially at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show for approx $60,000. Check the gallery after the jump. via [General Motors]
