Japanese design house Nendo has designed a stylish life saving kit for emergencies. As response to 2011 earthquake in Japan Nendo designed this kit to cop with future needs. It contains the bare necessities to help in catastrophe situations. The kit is enclosed in 5cm thick metal tube-shaped case that can be strapped on body and even can float in flood situations. The kit includes whistle, a radio with hand-operated crank for charging, a waterproof poncho, a rechargeable lantern, and a small foil container with a little drinking water inside. Also it has some utilities like tape, scissors etc based in a small plastic bag.
