3D Food Printing Production Project By NASA
While 3D printing of different objects is getting a normal routine, the futuristic 3D Food Printing Production Project has come to life. Anjan Contractor at the Systems and Materials Research Corporation (SMRC) bring in this concept by producing the chocolate bar by 3D printing in a bid. NASA is looking forward to fund this project with the grant of $125,000 by attempting to print pizza. This project could change the future of food vending industry by replacing the standard vending machines. Food on demand with perfect desired nutrition will be delivered. This printer will first print the layer of dough, then tomato sauce by mixing tomato powder with oil and water and then the protein layer topping for the pizza of any source (animals, milk, or plants). The makers are hoping to print the food not only for NASA but also for normal earthlings. The printing powder has a long shelf life (about 30 years) eradicating the early food grossing. The only drawback of this digital printing is the digital virus attack that could destroy the superiority of the food but other than this, it is an unbelievably awesome concept. [VIA]
