Phoenix, Arizona based co-creation engineering company Local Motors has launched the Ariel Cruiser Motorized Bicycle. The bicycle is structurally sound, economical and has an original vintage aesthetic design created by Lanis Vasilatos taking the inspiration from the board track racers of early 1900’s. It comes in both gas and electric models having even RetroRide wall tires in both. The electric model has brushless DC-500W IMP 36V rear wheel V-shaped hub-motor with regenerative braking system including armored Metal-braid front drum brakes and 20 miles of range with top speed of 27mph. while the gas model consists of 49cc Honda GXH50 plus 4-stroke air-cooled motor, 0.6 gallon capacity tank, top speed of 34 MPH with range of 70 miles having the torque of 2.0 lb-ft at 450 rpm and a custom-tuned stainless exhaust. The Cruiser is a beautiful imagination that we can all look forward to have futuristic stylish ride.
