The Australian Marine Conservation Society(AMCS) is committed to the preservation of the world’s largest coral reef, the Great Barrier Reef. The Swiss watch brand Oris is supporting the cause of AMCS for the second time with a special model. This year’s Great Barrier Reef LE II comes in a limited edition of 2,000 copies available.
The diver’s watch has a 46 mm wide stainless steel case; up to 50 bars is flameproof thanks screw-down crown and crown protector, and a unidirectional rotating diving bezel with black ceramic inlay. The dark blue dial features hour, minute and second hands. These are as luminous as evidenced indexes. There is a date window in six clock. A ring around the dial center provides an additional weekday display.
Behind the sheet working is an Automatic Movement SW 220-1 of Sellita. The Oris Great Barrier Reef LE II will be available from February 2016 on Rubber strap with security anchor and integrated extension mechanism of the folding clasp for about $2121, with stainless steel bracelet costs them approx $2323. A portion of the proceeds donated to the Oris AMCS.
