    Choosing A Concealed Carry Holster

There may not necessarily be such a thing as a perfect Concealed Carry Holster, but this is no reason to give up hope! With some research and careful shopping around you should be able to find a holster that meets your needs. There are many excellent holster manufacturers these days catering to a wide range of budgets and client needs. In fact, you’re more likely to have trouble picking one of the many options that are available. The last thing anyone wants is a drawer full of unused holsters, so it’s always a good thing to do a little bit of research before making a purchase. It is our goal to help you make a good decision throughout the course of this blog post and help you choose a better holster for your personal defense weapon.

Here are some of the most important factors to consider when looking for a concealed carry holster:

Comfort: Your holster needs to fit snuggly against you, and you should be able to wear it comfortably, even over extended periods. There’s no point in having a handgun for the purpose of self-defense if it becomes too uncomfortable to bother wearing. Holsters with a larger backing spread the guns weight more evenly, and tend to be a little more comfortable, although if you get hot easily, this is a little more leather/Kydex in contact with your skin.

Weapon security: Your IWB holster ought to hold your handgun safely until you choose to draw it. In the event that you are running or moving around a great deal, you ought not to need to stress over losing your weapon. Most concealed carry holsters achieve this by conforming snugly the shape of the particular handgun.

Ease of Access: Most handgun owners hope they never need to draw their weapon out of self-defense. Should the need arise, however, it is essential to be able to draw your weapons quickly and smoothly. If your gun snags in the holster or your clothing it could literally be a matter of life or death.

Low profile: The whole purpose of a concealed carry holster is the ability to be able to carry a weapon without alarming anyone who may be uneasy around them. In this way, we are able to exercise our right to bear arms and defend ourselves in a way that is considerate to the people around us. A good IWB holster is low profile and keeps your handgun close to your body.

I hope this post has helped, please think carefully before making any holster purchases. Putting some thought into the above areas should dramatically improve your chances of purchasing a great holster the first time round!
