In the history of the Corvette we will find a lot of interesting and rare cars. Much is particularly impressive racing version. Chevrolet in 1953 appeared in America as a first domestic manufacturer of sports car with fiberglass body. Until then, the fans of sports car had to turn to the dealers of European brands, especially the British.

The topic of our interest today is the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette “Purple People Eater”. Under the hood sits a 4.6L V8 (294 hp) engine coupled with a four-speed manual transmission. The car even has a fuel-injection system. The Purple People Eater always has been wearing black interior. Further specs include heavy-duty brakes and posi-traction.The classic has got a large fuel tank and hood latch. The windshield you’re seeing is also a replacement to give sleek racing look. This lightweight sharp specimen is set for auction in in January at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Don’t know if you ever heard about car tuning company SpeedKore Performance Group or not, but they are doing pretty awesome car jobs. The recently hit on internet is converted Dodge Charger 1970 with lots of carbon fiber, aluminum and generally just an evil look that is beautifully backed by a DOHC 9.0-liter V8 from Mercury Racing. The company is well-known for speed boats work. This engine usually sits in a boat, where it delivers 1,650 horsepower. This particular 1970 Charger has got custom grille and LED headlights. The front hood, bumper and the front fenders are made of carbon fiber.

Furthermore a bespoke exhaust system and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are fitted on on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear HRE wheels. Rock Valley-developed custom stainless steel fuel tank this beast keep enough gasoline to roar long way.

New-generation Mercedes S Cabriolet is a direct successor to the 280 SE 3.5, whose production was stopped in 1971 – since big four-convertible Mercedes menu was missing. The car which we will discuss today was officially presented at the September motor show in Frankfurt. The engines offers twice supercharged eight-cylinders with a capacity of 5.5 liters and 430 kW power.

The newly introduced S65 AMG variant Cabriolet is rather a question of prestige. The 630 horse-powered engine takes it from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and continue for up to 300km/h. Mercedes-AMG S 65 Cabriolet rides on twenty-inch wheels, and since we are talking about a car with a price tag of around £200,000, expect too many amenities. Exclusive leather interior, smart LED lights, camera system monitors and the entire area of the car pack electronic safety components or Burmester audio with surround sound. Additionally you get the choice to include, 420mm front and 360mm rear, ceramic disc brakes as well.

The Citroën presents the E-Mehari , a small convertible electric powered car produced in collaboration with Bolloré that recovers a historic name for the brand. According to the first details released today, the E-Mehari is a four-seater available in four body colors, combined with a soft top available in two colors and many finishes for the interior.

The model utilizes a thermoformed plastic body and a rechargeable lithium polymer battery of 30 kWh of capacity that feeds the motor from 50 kW / 68 PS of maximum power, and can be fully recharged in eight hours on a socket 16A. With a traditional connector 10A are needed instead 13 hours.

The E-Mehari, as stated, is able to reach a top speed of 110 km / h and to offer a range equal to 200 km and 100 km in use in urban suburban. Produced in the plant of PSA Rennes, the little electricity (which is 3.81 m long) will be marketed from next spring. Its debut will take place on December 9 at the Group’s headquarters in Paris: just in time for the last days of Cop21, the climate conference called by the UN and hosted by the French capital.

Earlier this year IAA revealed Mercedes-Benz Concept of IAA and now it shares the further progress in the project through a series of new images and videos. Mercedes-Benz Concept IAA, whose name is an acronym for Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile, had its world premiere at the IAA in Frankfurt in September this year.

The automaker considers the Concept IAA a crucial project that it continues to share updates again through the extensive set of shots and a couple of videos, representing mainly its aerodynamically sophisticated body of the drag coefficient Cx=0.19. The car shows a number of active aerodynamic elements changing positions and extending its front flaps to 390mm. Fully functional concept whose body length is 5040mm, respectively. 5430mm wind mode, is driven by a plug-in hybrid system with a total 279hp. In pure electric mode, Concept IAA traveled up to 66km and its maximum speed is electronically limited to 250km/h with best possible airflow around the car.

Mercedes obviously has no ambition to take IAA into production, but definitely future series will borrow some of research from this project. Checkout the videos.

British vehicle tuning brand Overfinch at its 40th anniversary has announced that it will release the “Land Rover Defender”. While the Defender is known as a tough workhorse, the Overfinch decided to clean its hand over it.

The custom Land Rover has got new grille and headlight bezels, bumper, a set of wheels, black and silver two-tone door handles and polished aluminum fuel cap. And inside there is whole new world with significant changes in the interior. The seats are Recaro while the whole living room is covered with high quality leather. The Defender now has GPS, rear view camera, new instrument panel and more. Furthermore its decorated with bespoke carpets and carbon-backed bucket seats for the front row with logos embroidered on the headrests.

Clearly it is difficult to make the Defender more upmarket. Only five units will be built and even one of them will cost around €100,000. (more…)

Zarooq Motors is an emerging auto manufacturer from United Arab Emirates. They recently released the images of next production model dubbed as “Zarooq Sand Racer”. Images show an off-road ride for made for fun and adventure,aA special drive designed to humiliate desert dunes. It uses a 3.5-liter six-cylinder v6 petrol engine tuned to 300 horsepower. Zarooq Motors wants to build its own racing series Sand Racers set. The brand is working on a dedicated circuit in Dubai where sand racers can exhaust their vehicles. The circuit will also serve as a tourist attraction where tourists can ride laps with the Sand Racers.

The price is estimated at $100,000. If the model is selling well, it will followed by an extended version with four seats. The company also has plans for a fully electric version. (more…)

The fact that the UK is the promised land of sports cars, it is clear to all automotive fans. This is evidenced by the rapidly growing brand Zenos, which now introduced its most powerful model with surname R. looks very much like a Kart Car.

The first model of Zenos was launched in 2014. The E10 with 200hp was enthusiastically received and later the E10 S followed with an output of 183 250 hp. Now there is the thrilling Zenos E10 R, which sends a capacity of up to 350hp to the wheels. Moreover, the open two-seater weighs just 700kg. This enables the E10 R in 3.0 seconds from 0 to 100km/h. The top speed of 250 km/h is also nothing to be ashamed of.

The Zenos E10 R does have a badge, but is primarily intended for the circuit. An adjustable suspension, brakes and for those who want to enjoy it in cold seasons too, Zenos offers heated seats. And that is the only direct form of luxury offered by the British brand. In England, the car costs converted about £40,000. Zenos E10R is now set to launch in USA and the price before tax is $39,500 (more…)

The car manufacturer Lotus has announced two new models, the Sport Elise and Elise Sport220, successor to the classic Elise and Elise S. They will be available in Europe from December 2015 starting from 40,240 euros and 49,110 euros respectively

The “Sport” label previously released by the Lotus Esprit and the modals have gained weight and performance, with same level of aesthetics. Still we note the arrival of new exterior and interior colors and a new look in tartan. The Lotus Elise Sport thus has a horsepower of 134 allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6s can go to maximum 204km/h. The Lotus Elise Sport220 has got 220hp which reaches for its 100km/h in 4.6s and can exceed 230 km/h.

The original model of the Lotus Elise was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1995. The Elise has since become the most widely distributed model of this brand, with a total of 32,000 units of the sporty convertible sold worldwide. (more…)

Our favorite luxury car manufacturer recently unveiled their Roll Royce Dawn in the seas of Australia. Event was organized on a luxury yacht right next to Australia iconic landmark Syndey Harbour under the shining sun. The Roll Rouce Dawn carries a v12 6.6 liter twin-turbocharged engine with 563hp which can accelerate this car from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds. The company has added a satellite aided transmission system that can identify the changes in road terrain with the help of GPS system and then it automatically chooses the right mode prior to reaching that point, hence your ride stay smooth all the time no matter whats going on the road. And like the tradition of this luxury liner the modal is also accompanied by premium leather details in interior. As you can see the Rolls Royce Dawn is convertible. The new roadsters from Mercedes-Benz has just been unveiled and it already looks  like a success. Even after changes in curves and small alteration it strongly resembles with AMG GT but it looks more aggressive. Its cockpit has got impeccable finishes and extensive use of leather. Expect two version of S L2016, a SL63 uses V8 5.5 liter bi-turbo capable of generating 585hp 900 Nm of torque and SL65 with 6.0-liter V12 bi-turbo 630hp with 1000Nm. Mercedes-Benz said it will expect a 190,000 euro ($200,000 approx) price for the first racing car, and 260,000 euros ($277000 approx) for the second. Performed by Garage Italia Customs, here’s a unique model of Fiat 500th Stormtrooper. Presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the automaker asked the preparer Garage Italia Customs to transform one of their 113hp electric city cars.

The rims, bumpers or interior, everything reminds us of Stormtrooper. Finally, the significant detail; red neon lights were installed in the car. Since lanuched the electric Fiat 500 made a great hit in California since its release in 2012. Comes with a 113hp electric motor for 199Nm of torque, the vehicle can travel approximately 140km on a single charge and is offered to less than $20k. Brabus presented AMG GLE63 S Coupe 700 HP at the Dubai Motor Show. The Brabus Mercedes GLE63 AMG is powered by the standard 5.5-liter V8 turbo engine but Brabus has managed to increasee horsepower from 585 to 700. The new Brabus kit-tuned GLE63 AMG can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.0 seconds and gets to the top speed of 300km/h.

The new bumper has more aggressive shape, integrated LED DRLs, modified side skirts, a re-styled rear apron with diffuser, a boot lid spoiler, and a new front grille and and features broad air vents. Most of these body parts are made of carbon fiber. Brabus didn’t ignored wheels. The kit also has 23-inch light alloy wheels and a 35 mm lower suspension system.
